A heavy afternoon rainstorm left several inches of standing water in EPCOT’s China pavilion, where a video showed children splashing after the rainfall.
The video, shared by TikTok user @j._.bo, referred to the water as a “new pool” and showed children playing in the flooded area of the World Showcase pavilion. The guest noted that the space is not normally filled with water.
The footage prompted mixed reactions online. Some commenters criticized the decision to let children play in rainwater, while others viewed it as harmless fun during a Walt Disney World vacation.

According to Disney Fanatic, cast members respond to storm-related flooding at Walt Disney World’s parks by clearing drains and directing water toward the resort’s drainage system. Guests encountering deeper flooding are encouraged to avoid those areas and ask a cast member for an alternate route to an attraction, restaurant or other destination.
