Walt Disney World converted tickets from Magic Kingdom’s October 8 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party into one-day Park Hopper admissions after heavy rain disrupted several major entertainment offerings.

According to a notification sent through the My Disney Experience app, affected ticket holders received admission to any Walt Disney World theme park, valid for one year from the date of their original event ticket. The replacement admission carries the Park Hopper option, though guests must make a theme park reservation and meet applicable admission requirements.

The Halloween party itself was not canceled, but rain led Disney to cancel the first 8:15 p.m. performance of Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and several showings of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at Cinderella Castle. A later parade was held during a break in the rain, though it began earlier than scheduled and did not include the Headless Horseman. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks proceeded at 10 p.m.

Guests who stayed for the October 8 event can still use the replacement admission, according to the app message. The separately ticketed party continues at Magic Kingdom through October 31, and Disney lists all remaining dates as sold out. Party tickets allow entry beginning at 4 p.m.; exclusive event programming is scheduled from 7 p.m. to midnight and remains subject to change without notice.
