Walt Disney World guests may bring snacks, drinks and many everyday park essentials, but some items can delay entry at security or require visitors to take them back to a vehicle before heading inside.
Among the restricted items are stroller wagons, as well as traditional strollers exceeding 31 inches wide or 52 inches long. Disney also prohibits folding chairs, selfie sticks and handheld camera extension poles in its theme parks. Drones and other remote-controlled flying devices are not permitted.
Coolers and bags cannot contain loose or dry ice, though reusable ice packs are allowed for keeping food and beverages cold. Disney also does not allow outside alcohol in its theme parks.
Weapons, including firearms, ammunition, knives and items resembling firearms, are prohibited. Disney’s rules also bar marijuana and other illegal substances across Walt Disney World Resort, including marijuana products held with medical authorization, according to the source.
Animal Kingdom has additional restrictions intended to protect its animals: balloons and plastic straws cannot be brought into the park. Balloons are also prohibited at Disney water parks.
Planning Your Trip
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Walt Disney World tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
Guests should also check their clothing before arriving. Disney may deny entry or request a change for attire with offensive language, obscene graphics or other material that does not meet its family-oriented dress standards. During normal park visits, costumes are generally restricted for guests ages 14 and older, although Disneybounding is permitted and certain special events have costume exceptions under separate guidelines.
Disney security may allow visitors to remove prohibited belongings before entering rather than deny admission permanently. Reviewing park rules while packing can help avoid an avoidable stop at the gate.
