Universal Orlando visitors in November 2026 may find several familiar attractions unavailable, from a one-day interruption on the Hogwarts Express to the permanent closure of Animal Actors on Location!.
The Hogwarts Express, which links the London and Hogsmeade areas of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, is scheduled to close November 4. Guests can still move between the two parks through their regular entrances, but the train will not be available that day. The attraction is expected to return after the one-day closure.
At Islands of Adventure, Jurassic Park River Adventure is expected to remain closed throughout November. The water ride has been unavailable since January 2026, and Universal's operating calendar lists December 16, 2026, as its reopening date. Jurassic World VelociCoaster remains an available dinosaur-themed attraction, though it is a more intense coaster experience.
At Universal Studios Florida, Po Live! in DreamWorks Land has been closed since October 3, 2026, with no reopening date announced. The interactive show had allowed guests to take part in a training session with Po from Kung Fu Panda.
Universal's Horror Make-Up Show also remains closed as the resort prepares Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse. The replacement is expected to open sometime in winter 2026, but Universal has not announced a specific opening date, leaving the theater likely unavailable for November visitors.
Planning Your Trip

Animal Actors on Location! is set for its final performances on November 2, followed by a permanent closure on November 3. The show has been part of Universal Studios Florida since the park opened in 1990 and features trained animals demonstrating film-production techniques.
Travelers planning a November visit can review Universal Orlando tickets and park plans alongside the resort's attraction schedule, particularly if the Hogwarts Express, Jurassic Park River Adventure or either departing show is a priority.
