Prep Baseball’s Tampa Fall ID/Rising Stars ID is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, at Tampa Prep, 727 W. Cass St. in Tampa.
The showcase is aimed at Florida baseball prospects in the classes of 2027 through 2032. According to Prep Baseball, the event is part of its identification process for future invite-only events, including the Florida State Games, Preseason All-State, Southeast Super Sophomore Games and Prep Baseball Future Games.
Position players are scheduled to check in from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m., with the pro-style workout beginning at 9:15 a.m. Pitcher-only check-in is scheduled for 11:30 to 11:50 a.m.; catchers will remain for both sessions. Check-in times are subject to change.
Registered infielders, outfielders and catchers will complete athletic testing, batting practice and defensive evaluations. Pitchers and catchers will take part in bullpen and receiving evaluations, with Prep Baseball listing TrackMan data collection for hitting and pitching.
Prep Baseball says participants’ measurements, video and showcase metrics will be added to player profiles, and event results and highlights will be published on its website. The organization says its site is used by nearly 1,000 colleges and professional scouts nationwide.
