Florida Public Service Commission staff reportedly recommended approval of a proposed tariff tied to a natural-gas pipeline planned for SpaceX operations in Brevard County.

The recommendation concerns Florida PSC docket 20260094, in which SpaceX subsidiary Coastal Connect Services, LLC, is seeking approval for a pipeline transmission tariff and a firm transportation service agreement. The commission is scheduled to consider the matter at its October 6, 2026, conference, according to NeoTeo.

The proposed line would be 32.4 miles long and 16 inches in diameter. It would connect SpaceX operations near Cape Canaveral with the Florida Gas Transmission interstate network.

The pipeline is intended to supply methane for Starship operations and reduce reliance on truck-delivered liquefied natural gas, or LNG. SpaceX reportedly told regulators that a single launch can require hundreds of LNG truckloads. The company would contract for all of the pipeline's proposed capacity.
