Grand Floridian Cafe is scheduled to reopen at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on Nov. 1 following a refurbishment that began in mid-July. A possible dining-format change may follow the reopening.
Disney’s website now lists breakfast and lunch reservation times at the restaurant beginning Nov. 2, according to Disney Food Blog. Those times had previously been identified as brunch reservations, suggesting the cafe could move to separate morning and midday meals.
Disney had not fully updated the restaurant’s posted hours at the time of the report. The listing continued to show dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 2.
While Grand Floridian Cafe has been closed, its brunch menu has been offered at Citricos, located upstairs at the same resort. Disney Food Blog noted that Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort recently made a similar change, replacing brunch with separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
Other brunch options cited by the outlet include Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs and Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Guests planning meals at Walt Disney World can check Disney World ticket options alongside current dining availability and hours.
