The missing possum figures at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad appear likely to return, according to a newly filed permit for set-element installation work.
The permit names Icarus Exhibits for the work. WDWMAGIC reported that the figures had failed safety clearance before their absence from the Magic Kingdom attraction.
The filing points to installation work rather than a broader change to the roller coaster, though no return date for the possum figures was included in the available information.
