The Orlando Magic and Walt Disney World have extended their long-running partnership, keeping Disney branding on the NBA team’s uniforms while continuing a community-focused relationship in Central Florida.
Walt Disney World became a Magic “Champions of the Community” sponsor in 2010 and added jersey sponsorship rights in 2017. The organizations did not disclose financial terms or the length of the extension in the announcement.
Magic president of business operations Charlie Freeman said the extension continues a 16-year community relationship between what he described as two Orlando-born organizations. Walt Disney World president Joe Schott said the partnership has connected people through shared experiences and a commitment to Central Florida.
