St. Augustine will observe Florida City Week from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23 with public events focused on city services, municipal operations and local government staff.
The city’s schedule includes “Discussion with a Director” gatherings at local coffee shops, where residents can speak informally with department leaders about city management, planning and building, resilience, and community services.
A guided walking tour of Fish Island Preserve is set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon. The tour will cover the preserve’s history and environmental significance. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
The St. Augustine Police Department will hold a police vehicle show and tell on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. Visitors will be able to see department vehicles and equipment and watch a drone demonstration. Registration is also required for that event.
Florida City Week is an annual observance recognizing municipal employees, public programs and essential community services.
