Walt Disney World has extended published refurbishment timelines at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, as well as exterior maintenance at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.
Disney’s updated advisory says refurbishment work will continue in select areas of the BoardWalk Inn and BoardWalk Villas through 2027. The prior notice listed late 2026 as the expected end of the work. Disney has not identified the additional areas involved or given a specific completion date in 2027.
Guests at the BoardWalk resorts may see or hear construction activity during daytime hours. Separately, the Luna Park Pool, Luna Park Crazy Play Area and Leaping Horse Libations are scheduled to close for routine maintenance from January 11, 2027, through April 2027. Disney says the Villas Pool and Inn Pool will remain open during that closure.
At Old Key West, exterior maintenance at Hospitality House, the resort’s main lobby and guest-services area, has also been extended. Disney had previously listed mid-September 2026 for the work; its newest notice says maintenance will continue through fall 2026.

Disney warns that Old Key West guests may encounter daytime work noise and, at times, be directed to alternate walking routes while the Hospitality House project continues. The resort has also been receiving guest-room updates, including changes to kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and soft goods.
