Disney Cruise Line will test wearable wristbands in place of traditional Key to the World cards on one Disney Treasure sailing departing Port Canaveral on Oct. 10, 2026.

The seven-night Halloween on the High Seas Eastern Caribbean cruise is scheduled to call at Tortola, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay before returning to Florida on Oct. 17. Disney Cruise Line told travel advisors that the program is a limited trial, not confirmation of an immediate fleet-wide move to wristbands.

Guests who already have DisneyBand+ wristbands will have them activated during regular check-in. Guests without DisneyBand+ will receive a wearable Key to the World wristband during embarkation rather than receiving traditional plastic cards outside their stateroom.

The trial wristbands will work only for that Oct. 10 voyage. Disney Cruise Line said they will not be usable on later cruises, at Disney theme parks or for other Disney experiences, unlike DisneyBand+.

At the end of the sailing, collection containers will be placed outside the terminal for guests to return the trial bands. Disney has not said whether returned wristbands will be reused, refurbished or recycled, and it has not announced additional trial sailings.
