Water poured from the ceiling into a Deck 10 hallway and some guest cabins aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas during a sailing from Port Canaveral.
Passenger Kendra Keller, who recorded video of the incident while onboard, described the scene as “raining in the hallway.” She said water reached guest rooms and crew members removed wet carpet before replacing it the same day.
Royal Caribbean did not disclose the cause of the leak or say how many cabins were affected. In a statement to FOX 35, the cruise line said its team acted quickly to assist guests, arrange alternative accommodations and provide compensation for the disruption.
The ship was scheduled to return to Port Canaveral on Thursday morning. Keller told FOX 35 she remained onboard and praised the crew’s cleanup response.
