Disney Cruise Line plans to test wearable Key to the World wristbands aboard the Disney Treasure sailing departing October 10, 2026, according to an email sent to travel agents with clients booked on that itinerary.
Guests without a DisneyBand+ will receive a Key to the World wristband during check-in rather than finding the usual Key to the World cards outside their stateroom doors. Guests who already have a DisneyBand+ will continue to have it activated at check-in as usual.
The test wristbands will work only for that Disney Treasure sailing. They will not carry over to later cruises or work at Walt Disney World. Disney Cruise Line expects guests to return them after the voyage, with collection containers located outside the cruise terminal for recycling.
Disney has not publicly released images or further details about the wristbands, and the October 10 sailing is the only confirmed test so far. The cruise line has not said whether the pilot will continue on later Disney Treasure voyages or expand elsewhere in the fleet.

Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Walt Disney World tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
DisneyBand+ already provides a wearable alternative for cruise guests, including stateroom access and onboard charges tied to a guest's stateroom folio. It can also be used in water activities and by children ages 3 and older for access to onboard youth spaces and Scuttle's Cove at Castaway Cay. Unlike the single-sailing test bands, DisneyBand+ is rechargeable and can be used again on future Disney cruises and at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Disney Cruise Line said it regularly tests new ideas intended to make its cruise vacations easier, while noting that not every test becomes part of regular operations.
