Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort earned a 5 out of 10 in a Disney Food Blog assessment of Walt Disney World hotels as places to work remotely, with coffee receiving stronger marks than seating and power access.

The outlet visited Kona Island for a Kona Blend Iced Coffee with caramel and sweet cream. The drink, made with the resort’s exclusive Joffrey’s blend, received a 7 out of 10. The reviewer said the coffee had a clear coffee flavor without being overly sweet and cost $6.06 after tax with the sweet-cream add-on, though the reported fruity notes of the blend did not come through.

For atmosphere, the resort received a 6 out of 10. The reviewer preferred an outdoor waterside spot for its breeze and quiet setting, but noted that exterior construction at the resort has reduced available seating. An indoor stop at Tambu Lounge was relatively quiet before food service begins at 4 p.m., although announcements for nearby ‘Ohana reservations were distracting.

Space availability received the lowest score, 3 out of 10. According to the review, construction had left only 10 outdoor seats, while indoor tables and chairs were primarily found at Capt. Cook’s and Tambu Lounge. The reviewer also counted only five reachable outlets across the resort.

The Polynesian Village Resort, a Deluxe Resort near Magic Kingdom, ranked behind Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the coffee crawl’s early standings. Coronado Springs had a 7 out of 10, while the Polynesian’s 5 out of 10 reflected the challenge of finding a table and an available outlet despite its coffee and setting.
