Walt Disney World’s two newest lounges have different ways for guests to get a table, with one using a same-day virtual waitlist and the other following the resort’s standard advance-reservation system.
Hurly-Burly, which opened October 1 at Disney’s BoardWalk, does not accept traditional dining reservations or regular walk-up seating. Guests must join its virtual waitlist through the My Disney Experience app while they are near the lounge.
In the app, visitors can find Hurly-Burly through the BoardWalk map or by searching its name, then select the option to join the walk-up waitlist. The source notes that Disney requires guests to be in close proximity, though it does not specify the permitted radius.
The BoardWalk lounge is themed around a revived century-old theater. It offers family-friendly trivia and bingo from 4 to 9 p.m., then becomes a 21-and-over venue with live music beginning at 9 p.m.
At Magic Kingdom, The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up is scheduled to open October 4 as a limited-time lounge in the Frontierland venue most recently used for Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue. Unlike Hurly-Burly, it accepts advance dining reservations through the My Disney Experience app and DisneyWorld.com.
Planning Your Trip
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Walt Disney World tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
Reservations for the Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up open up to 60 days before a visit, following the process used by Disney World table-service restaurants. Guests staying at Disney World hotels may book dining for their full stay beginning 60 days before check-in, giving them earlier access for later vacation dates. The offering is confirmed to run at least through December 1, though Disney has not announced an end date.
For visitors planning a Disney dining day, the distinction is important: Walt Disney World trip planning for Hurly-Burly requires being nearby and checking the app that day, while the Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up can be booked ahead when reservation availability opens.
