Disney fans with a passion for park history — and deep pockets — will have a rare opportunity this summer when Disney Experiences hosts a live and online auction of verified props, signage, and artifacts from Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The sale is scheduled as part of the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, taking place August 14–16, 2026 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The auction, titled "Disney Experiences Auction – Rare and Remarkable Finds," will be hosted by Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse. Bidders can expect a wide range of items pulled directly from park use, spanning several decades. Among the highlights are pieces from recently closed attractions, including theatre ornamentations and a 3D glasses distribution bin from Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which shuttered in 2025 to make way for an upcoming Monsters, Inc. land, along with props tied to the original Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure before it became Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

Other notable lots include a Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride vehicle from Walt Disney World, a Tomorrowland trash can from Disneyland's Tomorrowland, a Wilderness Lodge resort trash can dating to 1994, Haunted Mansion props from both coasts, anniversary banners and plaques from Disneyland's 50th and 60th celebrations, and event signage from DisneyFest in the late 1990s. A Spaceship Earth exit sign, an it's a small world floral set decoration, and an Animal Kingdom information kiosk sign from 1998 round out a list that spans nearly every corner of the Disney Parks portfolio.

Prices are expected to be significant. Past Disney Parks pieces at auction have commanded serious sums — a Haunted Mansion stretching room portrait sold for $90,000 in 2024, and a 1967 Disneyland Autopia car fetched $180,000 in 2022. Both live and online bidding options will be available for the D23 auction, opening the event to collectors who can't make it to Anaheim in person.
