Disney Cruise Line dropped a big announcement at the D23 fan event last weekend: a brand-new class of ships is on the way, with the first vessel set to debut in 2029 and two more following in 2030 and 2031. The additions will bring the line's total fleet count to 13 ships.
The newcomers are designed to slot neatly between Disney's existing vessel sizes — smaller than the 4,000-passenger Wish-class ships but larger than the original Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. Each ship is expected to accommodate roughly 3,000 guests, a capacity that Disney says will open the door to itineraries and destinations the larger ships simply can't reach.
Names, décor themes, and onboard attractions for the new class haven't been announced yet, though Disney has indicated the ships will introduce fresh storytelling concepts and experiences.
Disney also shared more about Disney Believe, the fourth and final Wish-class ship, which is scheduled to enter service in late 2027. That ship will feature a Moana-themed Grand Hall, character appearances tied to Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana, and The Little Mermaid, and exterior artwork showcasing Woody and Buzz Lightyear on the stern and Tinker Bell on the bow.
