Three nyala calves have recently arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World, Disney announced on Instagram.
For now, the calves are backstage bonding with their mothers. Disney said guests may be able to spot them on the lodge’s savanna soon.
Nyala are spiral-horned antelope native to Southern Africa. Their calves are born with white stripes and spots that help them blend into tall grass. Male nyala develop darker coats and spiral horns as they mature, while adult females generally retain brown coats with white spots and stripes.

The arrivals follow the birth earlier this year of Parker, a male nyala calf at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
