Universal Orlando now has two distinct parking destinations, and choosing the correct one is the easiest way to start your park day smoothly. Universal Epic Universe has its own garage at 1001 Epic Boulevard. Meanwhile, Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal CityWalk and Universal Volcano Bay share the resort’s main parking complex at 6000 Universal Boulevard.
That means you should not follow signs to CityWalk when your reservation or ticket is for Epic Universe, and you should not drive to Epic’s garage for a Studios or Islands day. They are separate arrivals with separate pedestrian routes. Check the destination in your navigation app before leaving your hotel, then follow the on-property signs and Team Member directions once you arrive.
Which garage should you use?
- Epic Universe: Use the Epic Universe garage at 1001 Epic Boulevard. This is the direct choice for a day at Epic, including guests using its Prime, accessible or valet options.
- Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure: Use the main garage at 6000 Universal Boulevard. Both parks are reached by walking through CityWalk, so there is no separate “Studios garage” or “Islands garage” to choose between.
- CityWalk: Also use the main garage at 6000 Universal Boulevard.
- Volcano Bay: Drive to the same main complex, but keep following the Volcano Bay directional signs to its dedicated parking area. From there, guests take a complimentary shuttle to the water park entrance.
That Volcano Bay distinction matters. Do not park for Volcano Bay and start walking toward CityWalk unless a Team Member specifically directs you there; the normal guest flow is the dedicated lot and shuttle. Also note that Volcano Bay began a maintenance closure on October 26, 2026, with a planned reopening on or before April 1, 2027. Confirm the operating calendar before building a water-park day around the shuttle.
Regular vs. Prime self-parking
Regular self-parking is the practical default for most day visitors. The current rate is $35 per vehicle, tax included, whether purchased in advance or paid at the toll plaza. Motorcycle parking is also $35, while RV and bus parking is $45.
Prime self-parking is the closer, more convenient self-parking option. It currently runs $50 to $60, tax included, depending on the date. If you arrive on Regular parking or bought Regular parking ahead, a Prime upgrade may be available for $14 to $25. It is worth considering for travelers with small children, anyone who wants to minimize the end-of-night walk, or a day when a short arrival window really matters. Availability is not guaranteed, and Prime access may not be available if you leave and return later that day.
You can prepay for either Regular or Prime self-parking before arrival. Prepaid parking is valid at all four Universal theme parks and CityWalk, but it does not apply to parking at Universal Orlando hotels. It is a convenient way to handle the expense ahead of time, not a reason to ignore posted instructions on arrival—always follow the lane and garage directions for your specific park.
Valet, passholder savings and evening parking
Valet is the premium option if convenience outweighs cost. Current valet pricing starts at $38 for up to two hours, with longer stays ranging from $46 to $81 depending on arrival time and date; Halloween Horror Nights event nights carry the highest all-day valet pricing. Follow the dedicated valet signs rather than entering standard self-parking lanes. Certain vehicles, including motorcycles, RVs and buses, are not accepted for valet.
Planning Your Trip
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Universal Epic Universe tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
Annual Passholders should check their pass benefits before paying. After the first visit, Power Passholders receive 50% off Regular parking, while Preferred and Premier Passholders receive free Regular parking. Preferred Passholders can receive 50% off a Prime upgrade, and Premier Passholders receive Prime parking or valet, subject to availability and exclusions on select event dates.
At the main Universal garage, self-parking is generally free after 6 p.m. on non-Halloween Horror Nights evenings, but that perk does not apply on Halloween Horror Nights dates, New Year’s Eve, or at Epic Universe. Treat it as a pleasant CityWalk bonus rather than a guaranteed park-day strategy, and check current details before you go.
Useful same-day logistics
Keep your parking receipt or prepaid QR code and a photo ID. Universal allows same-day re-entry during operating hours, including moving between the Epic Universe garage and the main Universal garages, when you show the same-day receipt or QR code plus identification at the toll plaza. Take a quick photo of your level, row and section before walking away—especially after dark.
Accessible spaces are available with a properly displayed disability placard or license plate. Epic also has EV charging in its Prime parking area, with availability and additional charging fees applying. For a smoother trip, buy Universal Orlando tickets and confirm park hours before departure, then give yourself extra time for security, garage walking routes or the Volcano Bay shuttle.
Bottom line: Epic Universe means Epic Boulevard; Studios, Islands, CityWalk and Volcano Bay mean Universal Boulevard. Put the correct destination in your GPS, save your receipt, and let the signs—not an old map—make the final call.
