Jack Skellington is not taking over Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion, but The Nightmare Before Christmas has a small permanent presence inside the Liberty Square attraction.

Walt Disney Imagineering recently spotlighted the reference in an Instagram video, showing two Easter eggs in the Haunted Mansion library. Jessica, a senior illusion developer for Walt Disney Imagineering, described the details as an homage to the 1993 Tim Burton film.

The nod is far smaller than Haunted Mansion Holiday, the seasonal overlay that transforms the attraction at Disneyland Park in California and Tokyo Disneyland in Japan. That version brings characters including Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and Zero into the ride for a limited seasonal run.

Magic Kingdom has never hosted the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, and Disney World has not announced plans to bring it to Central Florida. For now, guests visiting the Liberty Square attraction can look for the quieter book-stack reference instead.
