Tampa Bay’s food and drink calendar for Oct. 15-22 includes wine tastings, pairing dinners, cooking classes and seafood-focused events across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Dunedin and Palmetto.

One of the week’s larger events is Wines of Spain, scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Oct. 16 at Centro Asturiano de Tampa in Ybor City. The event will feature 50 Spanish and Mediterranean wines, including red, white and dessert selections, along with flamenco dancers, live music, a silent auction, Spanish-inspired tapas, a cocktail bar and a cigar lounge.

According to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, proceeds from Wines of Spain will support a project to convert Centro Asturiano’s gymnasium into a communal space. The nearly 125-year-old venue was once home to Cuban immigrants who migrated to Ybor City. Tickets were listed from $108.55.

Other Oct. 16 events include Chinese dumpling and Korean cooking classes at Foodie Labs in St. Petersburg; The Boil: Seafood & Crab Feast at Harpoon Harry’s Crab House in Tampa; Dishes & Wishes: A Taste of Tampa Bay at The Gathering at Armature Works; and a beer-and-food pairing cookbook release party at Green Bench Brewing Co. in St. Petersburg.

Weekend options include the Dunedin Seafood and Music Festival at Dunedin Marina on Oct. 17, a no-cover Oktoberfest beer festival at Waypoint Bar & Grill in Palmetto, and an Oktoberfest wine and beer pairing at Aspirations Winery in Clearwater. Tampa’s Straz Center will host both its gala and an After Dark gala addition that day.

The following week brings a Pol Roger champagne pairing dinner at Lilac at The Tampa Edition in Tampa, a fall cocktail launch at La Sétima Club in Ybor City, a Cabernet dinner at Birch and Vine in St. Petersburg, and a California wine event at Steelbach at Armature Works.
