NASA plans to provide an update on its Artemis program at 2 p.m. EDT Friday, Oct. 23, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The agency says the briefing will cover its effort to return American astronauts to the lunar surface by 2028. NASA also plans to share details about Artemis III, which it describes as a mission that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit next year to test systems needed for future Moon landings.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya and Artemis program manager Jeremy Parsons are scheduled to participate.
The public can watch the update online through NASA Live. U.S. media seeking to attend at Kennedy Space Center must apply by noon EDT Friday, Oct. 16, NASA said.
