Florida students will have a chance to hear from NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney during an Earth-to-space call from the International Space Station on Friday, Oct. 16.

The event, hosted by Sally Ride Elementary School in Orlando, is scheduled to begin at noon EDT. Watkins and Delaney will answer prerecorded STEM questions submitted by students.

The program is intended for students in kindergarten through 12th grade as well as the community, according to NASA. It will stream live on the agency’s Learn With NASA YouTube channel.

The astronauts will be speaking from the International Space Station, where people have continuously lived and worked for more than 25 years. NASA says research aboard the station supports scientific work that cannot be conducted on Earth and helps the agency prepare for longer human missions, including Artemis-era trips to the Moon.
