A Naples homeowner reportedly found an outdoor refrigerator open before security-camera footage showed a black bear had entered her yard through an unlocked gate, according to Gamepur.
The homeowner said the bear took an alcoholic drink from the patio refrigerator and ate trash. The reported encounter is a reminder that accessible food and garbage can attract bears into residential areas.
Florida wildlife officials advise residents to secure trash and food to help reduce opportunities for bears to find an easy meal around homes.
