Downtown Orlando’s 2026 Tree Lighting Celebration is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4, at Lake Eola Park.
The free event will run from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Washington Plaza, where attendees will join a countdown to light the City of Orlando’s Christmas tree. Mayor Buddy Dyer has invited Central Florida residents and visitors to the holiday-season kickoff.
Plans include holiday performances at the Lake Eola Amphitheater, food trucks, the return of the Merry Market and shopping from more than 30 local vendors. The event will also feature snowfall in Florida and visits with Santa.
Lake Eola Park is at 195 N. Rosalind Ave. The city encourages visitors to consider SunRail, rideshare, bike share, carpooling or the free downtown LYMMO circulator. Surface lots and parking garages are also available through the city’s interactive parking map.
