Port Canaveral's Royal Caribbean lineup just got a little bigger. The Harmony of the Seas returned to its Florida homeport in early August 2026 for year-round service, fresh off a major refit that gave the 5,558-passenger ship nearly 100 additional staterooms and several new public spaces, including a Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade. The pool deck also got a refreshed look and new features as part of the overhaul.

The work was carried out at a European shipyard under Royal Caribbean's Royal Amplified refit program. After completing the upgrade, the ship spent time sailing weeklong voyages in the Western Mediterranean — stopping in Italy, Spain, and France — before a late-July repositioning crossing brought it back to North America.

From Port Canaveral, the Harmony now offers a range of itineraries spanning three to eight nights, reaching destinations across the Southern, Eastern, and Western Caribbean as well as the Bahamas. Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, is included on every sailing. The ship's current deployment is scheduled to run through April 2028.

The Harmony joins a busy fleet already operating out of Port Canaveral: the Star of the Seas, the Utopia of the Seas, and the Adventure of the Seas are all currently sailing from the same homeport, collectively covering Caribbean and Bahamas routes of similar lengths.
