Florida residents and visitors can visit the state’s national parks without paying admission on Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to Spectrum News.
The fee-free day recognizes the birthday of President Theodore Roosevelt, the nation’s 26th president and a conservationist. During his presidency, the number of national parks doubled.
Florida has three national parks as well as eight other federally designated sites. One of those sites is De Soto National Memorial in Bradenton.
