The Banana Ball Open is scheduled to come to Walt Disney World next spring, with games planned April 15 through 18, 2027, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The tournament is part of the Banana Ball Championship League calendar and gives participating teams an early route to the season-ending playoffs. According to the announcement made during the 2027 Banana Ball City Selection Show, all six Banana Ball teams will attend the event, while four teams will compete for the tournament title and an automatic playoff berth.
Created by the Savannah Bananas, Banana Ball uses a modified version of baseball built around faster games and fan interaction. Its rules include a two-hour time limit, no bunting, the option for batters to steal first base, and a foul ball caught by a spectator counting as an out. Games also include dance performances, trick plays and crowd participation.
The April tournament follows Banana Ball’s first Walt Disney World games, held May 29 and 30, 2026, at the same sports complex. Those games featured the Loco Beach Coconuts and Party Animals; the Coconuts won the opening game 4-3 after a ninth-inning comeback.
Planning Your Trip
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Walt Disney World tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
Fans seeking 2027 tickets must join the Ticket Lottery List at BananaBall.com before it closes at 11:50 p.m. EST on October 31. Joining the list does not guarantee tickets; it enters fans in a random drawing for an opportunity to purchase available seats. Standard tickets start at $35, while meet-and-greet tickets start at $100, according to Banana Ball.
