Give Kids The World Village in Central Florida received some very special guests this week as Walt Disney World brought Disney Princesses to the nonprofit campus in honor of World Princess Week. The visit gave children staying at the village — all of them facing critical illnesses — a chance to spend time with some of their most beloved characters in a setting designed just for them.

Families took part in a range of hands-on experiences tied to favorite princess stories. Kids decorated paper lanterns inspired by Tangled, which were then lit up across the village later that evening to welcome families home after their days out at Central Florida destinations. Belle gathered children for a special storytime, while Moana helped kids craft Heart of Te Fiti-inspired jewelry. Princess Tiana arrived alongside her friend Louis, and the pair led a lively parade right through the heart of the village.

Disney has been a founding partner of Give Kids The World for many years, supporting the organization's mission of providing weeklong Central Florida vacations at no cost to wish families. The company also holds the distinction of being the world's largest wish granter, helping children facing serious illnesses experience moments of joy and connection around the globe.

For the families at the village, the qualities associated with Disney Princesses — courage, kindness, determination, and hope — carry a meaning that goes well beyond the screen. Organizers noted that these in-person experiences serve as real-time reminders of strength that families can hold onto as they continue their medical journeys.
