A toddler slide at Nemo’s Reef is reportedly closed on both the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, according to guest accounts cited by Inside the Magic. Disney Cruise Line has not publicly confirmed a closure, removal or reason for the reported change.

Nemo’s Reef is a Finding Nemo-themed water play area on both ships. Guests posting in Facebook groups and on Reddit said the Mr. Ray-inspired slide has been unavailable since April or May and may be permanently removed, though those claims have not been independently confirmed.

One Reddit user said a crew member told them the slide was being removed rather than refurbished. That account is secondhand, and Disney Cruise Line has not announced plans for the feature.

Recent guest reports also indicate that an extended section of the slide has been removed from at least the Disney Dream. The Mr. Ray figure, coral elements and stairs were reportedly still present but blocked from guest access.

The reported closure is separate from a family’s account of a late-2025 injury involving another Nemo’s Reef feature on the Disney Dream. According to the report, the child was not hurt on the slide, and the slide was still open when the family sailed in March 2026. The family later observed that a coral fixture had been removed and the splash-pad flooring replaced.

Families sailing with young children may want to confirm the current Nemo’s Reef setup with Disney Cruise Line before departure, since no official explanation or return timeline for the slide has been provided.
