Bakso, the young Sumatran tiger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, has joined the Halloween festivities with a pumpkin enrichment activity at Maharajah Jungle Trek.
In an Instagram Reel shared by @thedakguy, Bakso finds a pumpkin placed in his habitat by keepers, carries it in his jaws to a nearby pool and then lunges through the shallow water before tearing it apart.
Bakso was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in September 2024 and made his public debut in January 2025. Disney has announced that he will leave the park this fall for another Association of Zoos & Aquariums-accredited zoo as part of conservation efforts for critically endangered Sumatran tigers.
Other Walt Disney World animals have also received Halloween-themed enrichment, according to photos shared by Good Morning America and Animals at Disney. The group included an African elephant, a cotton-top tamarin, Aella the giraffe, Ray the kangaroo and a horse at Tri-Circle-D Ranch.

Disney said the seasonal activities encourage animals to investigate unfamiliar objects, explore their habitats and engage in natural behaviors. A separate Disney video also showed zebras, anteaters and aquatic animals at The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT with jack-o’-lantern enrichment.
