If you've visited Disney Springs lately, you may have noticed something — or rather, someone — missing. The beloved Stitch statue that typically greets guests at one of the entrances to the World of Disney shop has been removed, with no explanation from Walt Disney World as to where it went or when it might return.
The statue featured the large, grinning blue alien from Lilo and Stitch with his arms outstretched above the World of Disney signage — a fun photo opportunity that many guests looked forward to on their Disney Springs visits.
The removal may be connected to ongoing updates at the store. World of Disney already saw some sign replacements earlier in 2026, so it's possible the Stitch statue is simply part of a broader refresh and could reappear once the work is complete. That said, as of late July 2026, Disney has made no official announcement about the statue's departure or any plans for its return.
For now, fans of the mischievous extraterrestrial will have to find their Stitch fix elsewhere on property while they wait for word on his whereabouts. WDW News Today first reported the statue's disappearance.
