If your August Walt Disney World trip includes a dinner reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse, a leisurely brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe, or a meal at the Turf Club Bar and Grill, it's time to revisit those plans. All three restaurants are confirmed closed for refurbishment this August, and with dining reservations at Disney requiring weeks of advance planning, finding out at the gate is not an option.

Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been closed since July 20, 2026, and the refurbishment is expected to run through October. The good news for brunch fans: service has temporarily relocated to Cítricos, the resort's signature dining room. Demand for those tables is high, so anyone hoping to snag a Grand Floridian brunch in August should book Cítricos immediately.

At Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, the Turf Club Bar and Grill has been through a phased refurbishment since mid-March 2026. The full dining room goes fully dark from late August through late September, leaving the Turf Club Lounge — which reopens during the same window — as the on-property option for drinks. For complete meals, Disney Springs is just a short walk or boat ride away.

Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort has been closed since May 11, 2026, covering all of August. The Signature Dining steakhouse, known for its dry-aged beef program, appears to be targeting August 28 as a reopening date based on reservations quietly becoming available in Disney's system, though no official announcement has been made about what changes guests can expect.

The closures are all temporary, and alternatives exist for each, but the planning window is now. This reporting originally appeared on Inside the Magic.
