Families with Walt Disney World trips on the calendar should take note: Cool Kids' Summer, Disney's seasonal celebration built around character experiences, family activities, and park-wide entertainment, officially ends September 8, 2026. Disney has been promoting the event as a chance for the whole family to "feel like kids together," with offerings spread across all four theme parks and select resort hotels throughout the summer.
One of the more practical Cool Kids' Summer additions has been Jessie's Roundup: A Rip-Roarin' Revue! Presented by Babybel at Magic Kingdom's Diamond Horseshoe. The Toy Story-inspired indoor hoedown gives kids a chance to dance and play with Jessie and friends — and gives parents a welcome air-conditioned break during the hottest part of the day. When Cool Kids' Summer ends, so does Jessie's Roundup; reports indicate the Diamond Horseshoe space will eventually be converted into a new dining experience.
Beyond Magic Kingdom, the summer lineup has included Bluey's Wild World at Animal Kingdom's Conservation Station, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at Hollywood Studios, and GoofyCore at EPCOT's CommuniCore Hall. Many individual attractions tied to the summer guide — like Frozen Ever After, Soarin' Across America, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets — will continue operating independently after September 8, but the seasonal umbrella bringing them together will be gone.
September 8 also marks the start of Typhoon Lagoon's seasonal closure and the final day for Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT before a temporary closure and eventual reopening. H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon wraps up a few days earlier, on September 5. On the flip side, The Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios is set to open September 14, so Disney World is simultaneously closing out summer and preparing its fall lineup.
