A Walt Disney World bus began emitting smoke on the evening of Monday, July 20, 2026, coming to a stop on the exit ramp from Osceola Parkway to Buena Vista Drive near Disney's All-Star Resorts. The incident prompted guests aboard to evacuate, and they were seen waiting safely on the side of the road while the situation was addressed.
The vehicle involved is one of Disney's extra-long articulated buses. Photos shared to the r/WaltDisneyWorld subreddit suggest the smoke originated from the engine, and white powder visible on the roadway points to the use of a fire suppression system.
Initially, traffic could still navigate around the stopped bus using the left lane. The exit ramp was later fully closed but reopened roughly two hours after the incident began, once the bus had been removed from the scene.
The bus will likely remain out of service for some time while it is assessed and repaired. No injuries were reported. WDW News Today first reported the incident.
