Earlier in September, Florida's sunset doesn't arrive particularly early, so guests may have only a brief window to see the park fully illuminated before closing time.
The contrast with Walt Disney World is worth noting. When Magic Kingdom hosts its own separately ticketed Halloween event — Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party — Disney's other three theme parks continue operating without dramatically curtailed hours, giving guests without party tickets meaningful evening alternatives. Universal's September setup offers a narrower window across the board.
