Universal Orlando Spreads Harry Potter Across All Three Parks

Universal Orlando Resort is marking 25 years since the first Harry Potter film with a resort-wide celebration beginning August 1. Dubbed Back to Hogwarts, the event spans all three parks and includes exclusive merchandise, themed food, and the return of a beloved nighttime show — though it is a limited-time event, not a new land or attraction.

The most talked-about item is a Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Butterbeer Mug, sold filled with Butterbeer exclusively at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure while supplies last. Universal has not announced a price or guaranteed availability throughout the full run of the event, so guests making a special trip for the mug should plan to visit sooner rather than later. Hogwarts House Ice Lollies — available in four house-specific flavor combinations — have also expanded beyond Diagon Alley to the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe.

At Islands of Adventure, Hogwarts Castle will host the return of Hogwarts Always, a nighttime projection show tracing a year at Hogwarts from the arrival of the Hogwarts Express through the awarding of the House Cup. The show carries particular weight as a nod to where Universal's Wizarding World began: Hogsmeade opened in 2010, Diagon Alley followed in 2014, and Epic Universe added the Ministry of Magic in 2025.

Guests hoping to experience every element of the celebration will need Park-to-Park admission for at least two parks, and potentially tickets to all three. The Hogwarts Express connects Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley but does not travel to Epic Universe, meaning no single park ticket covers the full event. A Wizarding World Build-A-Bag collection from Lug and second-generation interactive wands are also available across all three Wizarding World locations.

The celebration coincides with the ongoing demolition of the Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure — the area that neighbors Hogsmeade and once yielded part of its land to the original Wizarding World.
