Magic Kingdom added a new pressed penny machine to Tomorrowland with zero fanfare — no construction walls, no concept art reveal, no countdown. One morning it was simply there, tucked inside Tomorrowland Launch Depot right next to TRON Lightcycle Run.
The machine holds eight designs, all tied to the TRON universe. Four feature classic Disney characters — Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald — riding Lightcycles, while three more show Pluto, Goofy, and Mickey in TRON outfits tossing discs. The eighth design is the one likely to generate the most buzz: Stitch, solo, dressed in full TRON gear. Every penny in the set is stamped with "Tomorrowland" along the bottom, giving the collection a cohesive feel. The full set costs five dollars — one dollar per penny.
The placement inside Launch Depot is intentional. The shop already leans hard into the Grid aesthetic from the TRON films, so the machine fits naturally rather than feeling bolted on. And the eight-penny count mirrors the eight Energy Gates riders attempt to clear on the coaster just outside the shop doors.
