Guests hoping to squeeze in one last meal beneath the artificial jungle canopy at Disneyland Paris have a little more time than expected. The Rainforest Cafe at Disney Village, which had been set to close permanently on September 15, will now remain open through November 2026, though an exact final date hasn't been announced yet.
The restaurant has been part of Disney Village since 1999, making it one of the longer-running tenants in the entertainment district. Its signature mix of animatronic animals, aquariums, cascading waterfalls, and periodic simulated thunderstorms made it one of the most elaborately themed dining rooms on the property. On Google, the restaurant currently holds a 4.3-out-of-5 rating, with guests most consistently praising its immersive atmosphere.
The closure is the latest chapter in a broader reinvention of Disney Village. Since the pandemic, Disneyland Paris has steadily retired several familiar names from the district's 1990s era — Planet Hollywood closed in January 2023, the original Disney Store shuttered in January 2026, and Café Mickey gave way to Brasserie Rosalie. Looking ahead, a new two-story Italian restaurant called Casa Giulia is expected to open in the former Planet Hollywood space before the end of 2026.
Rainforest Cafe's connection to Disney goes back to 1996, when the chain first opened at what was then Downtown Disney Marketplace at Walt Disney World. The brand still operates locations at Disney Springs and Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida, as well as at Tokyo Disney Resort's Ikspiari shopping district. The Disneyland Resort location in California closed in June 2018 and never returned. What will become of the Disney Village building after the restaurant closes has not yet been announced.
