Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a Notice of Commencement for construction work at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, according to public records highlighted by Inside the Magic.

The filing lists Faden Builders as the primary contractor for general construction work at the Walt Disney World resort. The available filing information does not specify the scope of the planned work or whether it will affect guest access or amenities.

The 10-story Island Tower opened in December 2024 on the former Luau Cove site, once home to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. It added Disney Vacation Club multi-bedroom villas, Duo Studios and fireworks-view penthouses to the Seven Seas Lagoon resort.
