Guests planning a stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort this summer will want to know about three simultaneous refurbishments hitting the property. The changes affect transportation, the resort's central hub, and golf course views — all at the same time.
The Sassagoula River Cruise, which ferries guests between Old Key West and Disney Springs, will be temporarily out of service starting Monday, July 20th through early August. Bus service to Disney Springs remains available as an alternative. A walking path between the two destinations also exists, though it runs about 45 minutes and can be a tough trek in Florida's summer heat.
The resort's Hospitality House — the main building that houses the lobby, concierge desk, and Olivia's Café — is also undergoing exterior maintenance. Guests may encounter noise or detours during daytime hours. Disney has confirmed that this work is expected to continue through mid-September 2026, though the My Disney Experience app currently shows an earlier end date of early June that has not yet been updated.
Rounding out the trio, the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course surrounding the resort is under refurbishment as well, with some rooms overlooking the course potentially seeing disrupted views until the project wraps up in October 2026.
