Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets did not open with the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Oct. 26, according to AllEars, leaving early visitors without access to the recently rethemed coaster for the first two hours of regular park operations.

The attraction was listed as temporarily closed at 9 a.m. and again at 10 a.m. It reopened by 11 a.m. with a posted 35-minute wait.

The coaster opened in May 2026 as a Muppets-themed update to the longtime Hollywood Studios ride, replacing the previous Aerosmith theme. It also gave the characters a new park presence following the closure of Muppets Courtyard.

Visitors who adjusted their plans that morning found shorter posted waits elsewhere in the park. At 9 a.m., The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror showed a 13-minute wait, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was at 15 minutes, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was at 25 minutes.

After reopening, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s posted wait reached 65 minutes at noon before falling to 40 minutes at 1 p.m. and 35 minutes at both 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The temporary closure was limited to that day and does not establish a broader operating pattern, but it illustrates why guests may want an alternate first attraction in mind when planning a Hollywood Studios morning.
