There is one genuinely useful photo perk tucked into Walt Disney World’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass: digital downloads of eligible attraction photos and videos from your park day. That can be a nice bonus for families already buying Multi Pass to reduce waits—but it is not a substitute for the resort-wide PhotoPass access included with Memory Maker.

Here is the practical distinction: Lightning Lane Multi Pass covers select ride captures only. Memory Maker covers those ride captures plus the photographer-shot castle photos, character greetings, Magic Shots and other PhotoPass media that tend to become the group’s favorite vacation images.

What Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes

With a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, eligible attraction photos and videos that link to your Disney account on the day of your park visit are available to download. The perk is tied to the Multi Pass day, not solely to the three attractions you initially reserve. In other words, if you have a Multi Pass and ride an eligible photo attraction through standby or Lightning Lane, the linked ride image can qualify for download.

Disney currently lists these attraction photo locations:

  • Magic Kingdom: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run.
  • EPCOT: Frozen Ever After, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track.
  • Hollywood Studios: Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Slinky Dog Dash and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
  • Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

The three attractions with ride videos are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tower of Terror and TRON. So, if your crew is focused on coaster reactions, Multi Pass can deliver plenty of fun souvenirs without a separate photo package.

A small but important setup note: attraction media needs to link to your account. Wear a linked MagicBand or MagicBand+, or keep a compatible phone with the My Disney Experience app and the required Bluetooth or location settings active. For TRON in particular, keep your phone with you in the attraction vehicle’s storage compartment rather than leaving it in a locker. Check current linking instructions before you go, since app and device requirements can change.

What Multi Pass does not include

Multi Pass does not unlock downloads from Disney PhotoPass photographers. That means no posed photos in front of Cinderella Castle or Spaceship Earth, no photographer-captured character-meet images, no Magic Shots, and no photos from PhotoPass photographers around the parks and resorts. It also does not turn a paid Capture Your Moment session or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment into a photo-inclusive experience.

Disney PhotoPass Lenses are a separate wrinkle: Multi Pass guests can access many lenses in the My Disney Experience app after entering the park, but that access should not be confused with photographer-photo downloads. Memory Maker does not include PhotoPass Lenses, either.

What Memory Maker adds

Memory Maker is the broad PhotoPass package. It includes eligible attraction photos and videos, plus downloads from more than 175 PhotoPass locations, more than 40 character experiences and 100-plus Magic Shots and specialty captures. It can also cover downloads from a Capture Your Moment session or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, although the session or makeover itself still costs extra.

For 2026, Memory Maker costs $185 when purchased at least three days in advance, or $210 at the regular price. The advance-purchase version has a three-day waiting period: photos taken within three days of purchase are not included. Memory Maker One Day is $85 and covers PhotoPass media from 6 a.m. Eastern through 5:59 a.m. Eastern the next day. Standard Memory Maker covers eligible media captured within 30 days of activation.

One purchase can be especially valuable for a larger traveling party: after it is linked to the purchaser’s My Disney Experience account, that person can download shared media from up to 25 Family & Friends connections. Everyone should confirm sharing settings before the trip, rather than discovering missing photos after checkout.

When Memory Maker still makes sense

  • You want everyone in the picture. Grandparents, young kids and the person usually holding the phone benefit most from photographer-shot family photos.
  • You have a multi-day park trip. A couple of park days filled with character meets, landmarks and Magic Shots can make Memory Maker feel far more worthwhile than buying individual files.
  • You booked a special photo experience. Capture Your Moment and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique images are much more useful when downloads are already covered.
  • You may not buy Multi Pass every day. Memory Maker follows your eligible PhotoPass media across the trip; the Multi Pass perk is limited to each Multi Pass day.

Memory Maker is not unlimited in every possible setting. Images from offerings such as Wild Africa Trek, Disney Fairy Tale Weddings, Disney Fine Art Photography, many group or convention shoots, third-party operators and certain portrait products are excluded. Download eligible photos before their 45-day expiration window.

Bottom line: If you are already using Multi Pass and only care about ride reactions, take the included downloads and skip the bigger package. If posed family images, characters and park icons matter, price out Disney World tickets and vacation plans with Memory Maker—or at least Memory Maker One Day—before your trip.
