Universal Epic Universe’s standard Universal Express Pass is much more useful in 2026 than many visitors expect: it now covers the park’s biggest headliners, including Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry and Mine-Cart Madness. But it is still a premium, date-priced add-on to admission—not a skip-every-line, ride-all-day product.
The key distinction is in the name. At Epic Universe, the available product is Universal Express, which gives each guest one shorter-line entry at each participating attraction during normal park hours. It is not Universal Express Unlimited. Once you use Express at an attraction, you’ll use standby if you want to ride it again. Separate, date-specific park admission is required, so factor the pass into the total cost when planning Epic Universe tickets.
Every Epic Universe attraction included with Universal Express
As of 2026, Universal lists 12 participating Epic Universe attractions. That includes rides, family attractions and two stage shows:
- Celestial Park: Constellation Carousel and Stardust Racers
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD: Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Mine-Cart Madness and Yoshi’s Adventure
- Dark Universe: Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Curse of the Werewolf
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry and Le Cirque Arcanus
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Fyre Drill and The Untrainable Dragon
That list is the major reason the pass has become easier to justify. Battle at the Ministry, Mine-Cart Madness, Mario Kart, Monsters Unchained, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders and Stardust Racers are the attractions most likely to shape a one-day touring plan. Having one Express entry for each lets a family use standby strategically rather than feeling compelled to rush across the park at opening.
The important exclusion
Dragon Racer’s Rally is the only current Epic Universe attraction excluded from Universal Express. If it is a must-do for your group, plan to use its standby queue. Express also does not cover separately ticketed events, and it is valid only on the date selected and during regular operating hours. A shorter Express line is not the same thing as immediate boarding; waits can still fluctuate with crowds, weather and ride downtime.
One time means one time
Think of the pass as a one-use collection of reservations without assigned return times. Show it at the Express entrance for a participating attraction, take the shorter queue, and that attraction is used up for the day. You can still use Express at every other eligible attraction afterward, but you cannot loop back to re-ride Battle at the Ministry, Monsters Unchained or Stardust Racers through Express.
Planning Your Trip
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Universal Epic Universe tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
There is currently no Epic Universe version of Universal Express Unlimited, and the complimentary Unlimited Express benefit offered at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort does not extend to Epic Universe. Universal Helios Grand Hotel guests have convenient dedicated park entry and Early Park Admission eligibility, but not Unlimited Express. That matters when comparing hotel costs with add-on costs.
When the upcharge pays off
Universal prices Express by date and availability, so there is no single 2026 price to quote. Check the exact cost for your visit before committing; inventory is limited and popular dates can sell out. In practical terms, it is most worthwhile on holiday weeks, summer dates, weekends, one-day-only visits and trips with a mixed-age group that wants both headline rides and shows without spending the entire day in queues.
It is also a strong option if Battle at the Ministry and Mine-Cart Madness are non-negotiable. With both now included, the pass protects time at two attractions that can otherwise dictate the rhythm of the day. It is less compelling for visitors with two Epic Universe days, travelers visiting on a historically quieter weekday, or guests who mainly want the scenery, character encounters, dining and a few rides.
Bottom line: If this is your one big Epic Universe day and the date’s Express price fits your budget, the pass can buy back enough time to make the day feel calmer and more complete. Buy it for time savings—not repeat rides—and recheck Universal’s current participating-attraction list and price before you go.
