Lego Festival is back at Legoland Florida in Winter Haven, and this summer's edition brings two fresh play zones to the lineup — one built around Pokémon and another inspired by Formula 1 racing. The limited-time event runs July 20 through August 16 and is included with regular park admission.
The Pokémon Play Zone lets families step into the role of Pokémon trainers through a 15-minute interactive experience, build their own Lego Poké Ball, and snap a photo with Pikachu. Guests will also get a sneak peek at the new Lego Pokémon Smart play sets before they arrive in stores in August. Some activities in the zone require a virtual queue, accessible through the Legoland mobile app.
Over in the F1-themed Thrill Zone, visitors can race against the clock at the Brick Stop Challenge, design their own Formula 1 car, and catch a live drumming performance called Pit Lane Hype. The zone also features a photo opportunity with a Lego Pit crew.
Beyond those two headliners, the festival spans five interactive zones in total, including a Music Zone with a Battle of the Bands show, a Creative Zone for open-ended building, and a Chill Out Zone where guests can construct a Lego flower. A park-wide 3-Build Challenge rewards stamp collectors with a special gift upon completion. Specialty food and drinks — including a frozen mango lemonade called Lyrical Lemonade at Legoland Coffee Co. — are available for purchase throughout the event.
