Since May 21, 2026, families visiting Walt Disney World have had a surprisingly affordable way to add a Legoland Florida day to their trip — without renting a car or paying for parking. The Legoland Express, a shuttle service operated by Mears Transportation, picks up riders directly at Disney Springs and drops them at the Legoland Florida Resort gate in Winter Haven for as little as eight dollars per person, round trip.
Disney Springs does allow select third-party transportation providers to operate alongside Disney's own buses and water taxis, which is how the arrangement came together. A second pickup location at ICON Park runs at 8:30 a.m., while the Disney Springs departure leaves at 9 a.m. — timing that puts guests at Legoland's gates right around the park's standard 10 a.m. opening. The return shuttle departs 30 minutes after Legoland closes each evening.
Legoland Florida is designed primarily for children in the two-to-twelve age range, offering rides, theming, and a pace that can feel more manageable for families with young kids than the scale of Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando. The roughly 50-minute drive to Winter Haven has long been the reason many families skip the park during an Orlando vacation; the shuttle removes that barrier entirely.
The shuttle is wheelchair accessible, and guests who need a dedicated wheelchair space are encouraged to select that ticket type when booking to guarantee availability. Limited stroller storage is also on board. During summer, the service runs Thursday through Sunday; September and October are reduced to Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Legoland Florida website, and the November schedule had not been announced as of the time of reporting.
