After weeks behind a construction scrim, the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom has emerged with a fully restored exterior. Disney repainted and replaced nearly the entire facade during the refurbishment, touching everything from the chimneys and turrets down to the entrance areas guests walk through in the queue.
The most striking change is the new atrium, which was rebuilt to closely recreate the building's original opening-day appearance. Fresh detailing is visible throughout the brick and stonework across the mansion, giving the structure a noticeably crisper look than guests have seen in years.
A handful of finishing touches still remain. Landscaping around the perimeter has yet to be restored, and construction walls are still standing in a few spots. Disney expects to wrap up that remaining work within the next week.
The timing is deliberate — the goal is to have everything complete before Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off its 2026 season. Throughout the entire refurbishment, the attraction itself has continued operating normally and remains open to guests today.
