Halloween Horror Nights 35 doesn't open until August 28, but guests hoping to skip the standby lines have already lost several of their best options. Universal Orlando's standard R.I.P. Tour packages are currently listed as sold out, and the first Premium Scream Night — scheduled for August 27, the night before the event's earliest-ever opening — is also unavailable. October 19 remains the only Premium Scream Night date with inventory as of this writing.
The standard R.I.P. Tour is Universal's guided VIP experience for HHN, covering priority access to up to 10 haunted houses alongside a pre-tour reception, reserved show seating, valet parking, a commemorative credential, and Universal Express Unlimited at participating rides during the event. Separate event admission is required. Universal is still taking bookings for Private R.I.P. Tours by phone and a newer five-house version of the tour, though neither is a direct replacement for what's now gone.
The sellouts land alongside a separate change that affects multi-night visitors: Universal has discontinued all Fear Pass bundles that previously included Express access. The Rush of Fear, Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus, and Ultimate Frequent Fear passes with Express are all gone for 2026. Universal cited a desire to improve the overall guest experience but offered no further explanation. Standard multi-night Fear Passes without Express remain on sale — at higher prices than last year — and date-specific Express Passes can still be purchased separately for individual nights.
For guests still planning a visit, the practical takeaway is straightforward: HHN 35 admission itself has not sold out, and single-night tickets remain available. But anyone counting on Express or guided access should act sooner rather than later. Checking availability for a specific date before purchasing a multi-night pass is especially important now that Express is no longer bundled into those products.
