Just in time for the opening night of Halloween Horror Nights 35, Universal Studios Florida has swapped out the real HHN archway medallion for a painted scrim version. The white scrim covering the main entrance archway is detailed to replicate what guests would normally see — a gold Universal Studios Florida logo, painted palm trees lining a walkway, and an HHN 35 logo medallion in the spot where the actual suspended medallion typically hangs.
The change is tied to a broader renovation of the park's entrance area. Earlier this year, the exit, ticket booths, and entrance buildings were all repainted from their longtime pink color to white with brown trim. The main archway is expected to follow that same color scheme once work wraps up. For now, the yellow-and-brown paint visible on the archway has remained consistent with previous construction updates.
Despite the construction activity, the main archway is still open to foot traffic, though the walkway is somewhat narrower than usual. Blue construction walls and white scrim have been present around the entrance for some time, and the latest update brings that coverage to the full main archway.
